Eligibility Criteria

To ensure investor trust and quality, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • Incorporated business (any jurisdiction supported)

  • A clear product or validated concept

  • Founding team in place

  • High-level financials (forecasts acceptable)

  • Willingness to participate in due diligence

Stage flexibility: TheAngel supports startups from idea → MVP → early revenue stages.

Required Documentation

You’ll be prompted to upload:

  • Certificate of incorporation

  • Founder identification

  • Cap table

  • Shareholder agreements (if applicable)

  • Pitch deck

  • Financial overview

  • Product demo / intro video (recommended)

Tip: Listings with video intros convert 2–3x better with investors.

Verification & Compliance Checks

Once submitted, TheAngel performs:

  1. Identity verification (KYC for founders)

  2. Company verification (registration checks)

  3. Cap table validation

  4. Fraud and risk screening

  5. Market category assignment

This ensures investor confidence and prevents bad actors from entering the ecosystem.
